A. The answer to this will depend upon your genealogical objectives. I provide a free initial consultation to gather your information and discuss your goals. Afterward, I will spend up to 5 hours (free of charge) to complete a feasibility study and come up with a research plan. Once this is completed, I will go over the estimated time to completion and any costs with you before proceeding.
A. I require a deposit of 50% of the agreed-upon total, with the other 50% due upon completion of your genealogical project, and before delivery. However, some projects are unique and as such payment may be structured accordingly.
A. Yes. In cases of adoption, you may want to consider taking a DNA test and I can help you determine which one will be best suited for your goals. If you have some knowledge or documentation (such as a birth certificate or family bible) listing one or both of your birth parents and would prefer not to take a DNA test, I can still research your family. Without DNA results, it may take me longer to locate the appropriate records or it may not be possible at all, depending upon the circumstances. I am passionate about providing only quality work and if I am unable to meet the goals of your project I will reach out to discuss alternative options.
A. I like to think it's my near-obsession to finding answers and solving mysteries. I love what I do for a living and I want to help you uncover your family's stories as much as you want to know them. In addition, I have experience researching family histories from a variety of geographical locations, periods, and ethnicities.
