DNA tests can be one of the best ways to discover your origin story. DNA, typically obtained from a saliva sample, is sent off to a lab where it is analyzed and compared to other samples in a database.
From your DNA results you typically receive a list of matches that share a percentage of your DNA, as well as an estimate of where your ancestors may have come from, also called an ethnicity estimate.
Have you already done a DNA test and now have a list of mystery relatives?
Are you confused about your ethnicity estimates, or maybe you don't know which ancestors you have inherited your ethnicity from?
Now what do I do?
I take this...
or this...
...and turn them into something you can see and understand.
(Left) Detailed analysis of how a client and a DNA match are related: 1C 1R = 1st cousin once removed, MRCA = Most Recent Common Ancestor.
(Right) A relationship chart illustrating how a client and a previously unknown DNA match are related through their MRCA (Most Recent Common Ancestor).
(Above) Map illustrating the various birthplaces of multiple German Ancestral lines that were identified during research.
